1. LEAP, an acrostic for “Lord Exalted and Praised” is a Christian-based dance ministry. The ambition of
LEAP however is not that of a dance studio; the students will experience weekly devotions, prayer, and
the use of Christian music with dance merely as the vessel of worship.
2. Students will minister through dance at our home church White Oak Baptist, nursing homes, and other
events.
3. When one's dancing at an event, it's expected to stay for the entire course of the event and not depart
early.
4. One must dress appropriately when attending these events. This would entail a LEAP dancer shirt and
black pants, unless otherwise stated.
5. No food, drink, candy, or gum on the dance floor at any time.
6. Class observers are to be mindful that loud talking or babies crying are disruptive to the instructor and
the dance class.
7. Parents or guardians must remain on the premises during their student's classes. DO NOT leave
children unattended anywhere on the campus.
8. It is imperative that all students be ON TIME for class. Late arrivals are disruptive to the instructor and
other students.
9. Entry of class spots are by placement audition only. ALL children must audition to be a part of the LEAP
Dancers ministry.
10. Girls must wear pink ballet shoes and boys must wear black ballet shoes for class time. NO other type
of shoe is acceptable, including house slippers.
11. Black dance pants and LEAP T-shirt are REQUIRED to take class.
12. Please silence all electronic devices when entering the classroom.
13. Please do not bring sick children to class.
14. NO makeup classes will be offered. Classes are at capacity, and availability is limited.
15. All parents must actively participate in the LEAP Dancers ministry.
16. LEAP Dancers is an outreach ministry and for this reason attendance is important. Students may only
miss TWO classes out of the ten week session.
17. Be on time for events. Each event begins with prayer time. If a performer is not in the prayer circle, they
will not perform at that given event.
